    Hi there,

why is this video set to private? Can’t watch it that way. Too bad, I would really like to watch it ;)

  • Seth

    Whoops sorry. All fixed.

  • Felian

    Thank you :)

  • omegachad

what’s with gamma’s aggression to k-ness? what happened before? its kinda hard to understand it when i cant understand japanese

  • Seth

It’s not really explained very well. Gamma started attacking K-ness. randomly after a match one time and it just all grew from there. May have something to do with Gamma getting pinned by K-ness. at one point.

It should be noted that these two go way back and are best friends. K-ness. is actually responsible for Gamma coming to Dragon Gate in the first place, so the fact they are finally having a story together isn’t much of a surprise.

  • Avoiderdragon

It most likely started when Gamma challenged for the Open the Brave Gate title right after when Masato Yoshino won it from Tigers Mask. Yoshino was going to give it up anyway since he’s already the Open the Dream Gate champion. Perhaps Gamma was just one step away from becoming Open the Brave Gate champion again before K-ness came in to challenge for the belt too. That opened the flood gates and before you know it, a tournament was set up.

Gamma must be blaming K-ness for making him miss his chance in regaining the title that he loved so much (so much that he had changed the name to Open the Gamma Gate while he had it). K-ness had messed things up, only to have his right arm injured and pass on his spot in the tournament to his partner, Susumu Yokosuka.

That’s how I understood it. I could be wrong though.

  • ryo saeba

Mastermind said a while back that Gamma was upset about K-Ness after he was pinned by him in the summer tag league

  • mastermind

I don’t think the meaning of their feud goes that deep. As far the video packages go it seems that Osaka06 challenged Knesuka to the twin gate match because of their draw during the SATL. In said rematch K-Ness pinned Gamma with the Hikari No Wa which is a spinning flash pin. Gamma attacked K-ness afterwards and has been after him ever since. Mainly it was just an outlet for him to turn on WARRIORS and go heel again.

  • Avoiderdragon

Maybe that is so, but the commentators do mention a bit about the Open the Brave Gate title when those two face off.

By the way, anyone know the music played in the first promo after the intro? I quite like it.

Also, Yasushi Kanda’s inverted atomic drop and eye rake to running drop kick combo is being referred to by commentators as “Jawou” or something like that. Can anyone clear this up?

  • ryo saeba

that move is called john woo
maybe, the first guy who called the move like this move is a fan of his fighting movies,i do not know

anyway,i hope we ll have the ppv soon and we won t have to wait 2 months, like for infinity 190-195

  • ryo saeba

i do not if k-nesuka in world-1,is a good thing
yeah,it help them to do disappear from the storylines and all,but Yoshino should have changed the unit name, plus i liked the t-shirts of k-nesuka

    Gamma Daiou…….
There was a story way to help us think that Gamma had a super version of himself the first time?
i remember Hulk was Killer hulk and destroyed Kanda, and suddendly without tease or anything like that,Gamma came in his super version,to give us a battle of super monsters

  • mastermind

yui has the ppv everybody i’m downloading it now

if world-1 and knesuka combines their colors then i’ll be ok with it, the lack of overall personality in their unit would make it hard to come up with a new name i guess. susumu in gold and silver is going to look weird though

i liked gamma daiou and killer hulk i was hoping more “super” versions of people would start appearing. i can’t wait to see what k-ness comes up with

the name “john woo” comes from the director of action movies yes but it’s the way dk and yoshino specifically sell the move that gives it’s name. the john woo action films are known mainly for their explosions and over the top action. Usually when people fight and the hero does some kind of karate/kung-fu kick the bad guy usually goes flying like no one should go flying and thats why that drop kick is named that because people sell it like they got hit by a car basically.

  • ryo saeba

ha yes,but i hope that Seth will have the ppv soon, because his version will be probably better looking
maybe,Seth uses that file and put it,in a better quality, that s possible i do not know those kind of things

yeah,it s because you like mangas and anime as i do,but i wonder how react people who are not a fan of them
maybe, dgate fans are also mainly animes fans, because i think dgate wrestlers have for the most part anime/mangas style look(haircut, attire……)

btw,i noticed dgate seems to be the only puro promotion who does backstages scenes like in usa(i do not watch DDT or BJW,but the others fed does not do this)
this particularity exists since the beginning?.

  • Seth

Hmm I’ll have the PPV up at some point yes.

What does anime/manga have to do with John Woo? He’s an action movie director.

Anyway, I believe SUWA was the first one to do the move and like mastermind mentioned, the name was coined because of how Dragon Kid would sell it (early Toryumon days those two had a pretty long rivalry – and it was really good).

  • ryo saeba

It s cool to read, because that version available is not good looking…….

Yes i know who is John Woo
My references about mangas/animes were not linked at all with him.
It s just that in his forum,Mastermind seemed to be a fan of One Piece from what he wrote once,so he must like animes/mangas as i do
That s why i told him, that he must like super versions of characters because he likes mangas/animes ,but that i did not know how could react non anime fans

And about my questions on backstage scenes?.

  • Seth

Ah yes that makes sense now. I would say that most people in Japan like manga (not anime though – that’s considered mainly for otaku) so it probably wouldn’t be fair to say that DG has more manga fans than other puro companies. Other wrestlers have done an alternate version from other companies (for example Jushin Thunder Liger when he wrestled The Great Muta in NJPW… in 1996 or whenever).

I personally really really hate Dark Hulk. I hope he never comes back. Gamma Daiou I like though and I wouldn’t be upset if K-ness brought out a super version. Darkness Dragon would be OK, but it’s not like he was super violent when he was Darkness Dragon.

The backstage stuff is a bit more recent. I mean they used to have some comments backstage after a match, but they weren’t really storyline progressing like they are now. Again, this wasn’t exclusive to Dragon Gate as most companies at the time did that.

  • mastermind

boooooooo the triangle gate match on the ppv sucks and it’s all the production companies fault booooooooo

pac vs dk was excellent though which is also shocking

  • Seth

PAC vs DK was good yeah. I mean it wasn’t exactly MOTYC or anything, but way better than what I was expecting. I’ll go into more detail in my review later.

  • mastermind

yeah i wouldn’t say that either but it was really good but overall the ppv was a bummer at least in my opinion not bad but not great either just a decent show

  • Zacky

anyone got any clue as to who this new Dr. Muscle will be?

  • PeePReeL

Maybe K-Ness will come up with something totally new. DarkSIDE Dragon, perhaps? It kinda worked for Hayabusa.

  • Zacky

K-Ness Dragon? sure the name is lame but still eh I’m not very creative

  • ryo saeba

    Ouch,what a downfall for YAMATO
A few months back he was still champion and now he s pinned by a midcarder like kanda…….

  • PeePReeL

I’ve been silently raging at YAMATO’s burial. He’s my favorite wrestler in Dragon Gate, and he’s slipped into midcarder status in no time flat.

  • ryo saeba

Wow,this gaora tv show seems cool
YAMATO vs Hiroshi Yamato for the first time nice
I prefer YAMATO but i also like Hiroshi Yamato

  • ryo saeba

hey, seth, any chances you ll get the ppv soon?.
maybe, you already have it,but you do not have the time to put it here

  • Seth

Hi, sorry but there are forces beyond my control at work right now :(

I would like to say for sure one way or the other, but I can’t guarantee anything right now.
