    awesome! gonna watch this later

but DG fans we have a representative in the Best of the Super Juniors this year. It’s PAC!

  • Live broadcast…nice. Looking forward to seeing everything in its entirety, esp. those 5 singles matches.
Speaking of Pac, he was at the WWE Raw tapings today in England. The ‘E has been interested in him for months now. Worry. (Seriously, The ‘E will absolutely waste him. Guarandamnteed)

We are Jimmy’z (We are Jimmy’z) We are Jimmy’z 1,2, 1,2,3,4!!! love that theme, MB’s theme is horrible

  • steveperry

New drinking game, drink whenever you hear “So desu ne”

    • Seth

Even more fun to play when they have guest female commentators for the PPVs.

    • mastermind

you’d die of alcohol poisoning if you played this during an Osaka Pro show

    • reostzombie13

That would be dangerous. Sadly it’s the only japanese I understand from commentary too.

  • mastermind

Jae pointed this out but Tomahawk is now Naoki TaniSaki (谷崎なおき) while the real one is Naoki TaniZaki (谷嵜なおき)

  • MrMoonlight

I wrote down all the match annouced for the king of gate but i was just wondering if anyone knows if it has been given in the right order, like winner of match 1 will meet winner of match 2.

Here are the match in the order they have been given: Tozawa vs Doi / BxB hulk vs Yoshino / Susumu vs Dragon Kid / Yamato vs Shingo / Mondai ryu vs Don fuji / Cyber knong vs HAGE / Kzy vs Cima / Mochi vs Kanda

    • mastermind

Don’t worry about it the match order until it’s almost time, CIMA has already been removed from KoG for someone else I won’t spoil it but if you watched this entire episode you can probably figure it out

also Akatsuki has arrived in Dragon Gate!

    • Here’s the KOG match order as of when it was announced this past Monday (taken from DG’s official website):
      5/10 (Korakuen):
      Shingo Takagi vs. YAMATO
      Dragon Kid vs. Jimmy Susumu
      Akira Tozawa vs. Naruki Doi
      BxB Hulk vs. Masato Yoshino

      5/11 (Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse):
      CIMA vs. Kzy
      Masaaki Mochizuki vs. Jimmy Kanda
Cyber Kong vs. Genki Horiguchi H.A.Gee.Mee!!
      Problem Shenlong vs. Don Fujii

      5/12 (Tsushima City Cultural Center):
      Takagi/YAMATO vs. Kid/Susumu
      Tozawa/Doi vs. Hulk/Yoshino

      5/13 (Yamanashi):
      CIMA/Kzy vs. Mochizuki/Kanda
      Kong/Horiguchi vs. Shenlong/Fujii

      5/18 (Kobe Sambo Hall):
      Semifinals (Block A & Block B Finals)

5/19 (BODYMAKER COLOSSEUM [old Osaka Prefectural Gym #2]):
      Finals

Also, I found out watching this episode that, although not listed in the match order, the 0th/Dark Matches also aired (Yusuke Watanabe & Kotoka vs. Kenichiro Arai & Super Shisa and Shenlong vs. Chihiro Tominaga)

    • Seth

Yeah I posted the listing before watching the episode. They were listed as dark matches so, by that very definition they shouldn’t have aired.

As an aside, not particularly good matches. I have faith that Tommy and Eita will be pretty good in the coming years and hopefully the new Shenlong will grow into something (yeah… really… put a mask on that guy!).

    • mastermind

@puroresufan it’s been changed check last nights results not sure about the order of it but CIMA is out and KOC winner is in (if you can’t figure out who won that without looking then you must have watched this episode with your eyes closed)

I’ve seen Super Shenlong III he looks like the Shinobu Shenlong (Shenlong I) if he had joined the original World-1 (a lot of gold and silver patterns/ looks like BxB Hulks out outfit modified for the shenlong gimmick)

    • Seth

      Yeah it’s pretty great.

    • Mastermind-I read the results before watching this episode, didn’t start watching it until last night but I know what the deal is now and who’s the replacement.

    • Seth

The winner of King of Chop.

As long as they don’t bust out blacks coats with red clouds, this is a nice move.

    • mastermind

Dont rule it out KAGE had red clouds on his tights during his Kamikaze run

    • reostzombie13

Narutard :|…:P Nah, I used to love that stuff too. With Shingo’s love for red and black, it shouldn’t be too extreme.

  • 9ent1e2

Dragon Kid Deja Vu DVD?? A??

  • 9ent1e2

Who has the dragon kid not to bring mask’s picture?

    • mastermind

he’s never lost his mask, you can see his face during the DK vs Darkness Dragon on the Toryumon vs T2P ppv or the final toryumon ppv in his match vs Shuji Kondo, other than that I’ve never seen his face

    • 9ent1e2

      Thanks, he really quite mystical

  • RandyNoKachi

really good show. Jimmyz are the best thing ever.

And Seth, when you read this…… what is the site you wanted me to use for the CD?

  • mastermind

I have 254 if you need links!

    • RandyNoKachi

I have it too , great episode………. King of Chop was amazing

    • mastermind

holy crap you weren’t lying the finals were amazing, mochi vs yoshino was hilarious the crowd wouldn’t let it end

    • Seth

I’ll have it up later today.

  • steveperry

I keep watching masaaki vs BxB. I liked it better than their Kobe match

  • reostzombie13

Only way to get Aichi to sell is by giving him stiff chops. haha. Those rookies sure do a lot of screaming. Pretty sure that spray is only meant for the muscles not the face. Yuck.

Holy cow, what a makeover Shenlong has had. Actually the Mad Blankey change up is exactly what he needed. Looks like something dark from AAA. The way he was posturing reminds me of the one goofy junior from NJPW. I like how aggressive Tominaga is when he’s on the offensive. It’s a nice contrast to Shenlong’s slower manipulative pace. Wow, these two are below the undercard but find a way with the hair cutting to make the fans care. Think Tominaga blew the ending by looking when he was supposed to be surprised by the powder.

I never really got why Doi was considered so muscular but when he stands next to Yoshino it makes sense. :P Doi & Yoshino better be careful with that ‘international’ part of their name. That means they can never let Swann & Rico go, which isn’t a bad thing but it’ll probably be tough. Guess it makes sense for Pac too but he’s practically Japanese at this point. You don’t really see junken being used too much in promos these days. It’s a nice touch. When the Jimmy music started playing I was expecting Yoshino & Kobayashi to started dancing 60s style.

The Jimmyz track suits are so dorky. haha. Kobayashi must have one hell of a chop to take Susume down in pain. I liked how only Kanda faced Kobayashi and Susumu faced Yoshino, it almost makes this a mixed talent match. :P. That double tarantula thing Yoshino did was pretty cool. Pretty fun match. Great showing by Kobayashi. Usually when I watch a match with the newer guys it becomes so forgettable but he did a great job.

Happy to see YAMATO get back to some of his shenanigans in that tag match. He really hasn’t been the same since becoming face. Good to see YAmingo get the win. They really needed a pick me upper. Neat reward after of getting personal backscrubbers. :P

Genki looks pretty flamboyant in his Macho Man flare.

The tug of war lead to some diverse and surprising matches. Great episode. I hope they keep up this live feel especially with the backstage interviews. Way better than having the interviews before or after the show.
