Time to start a new collection series and this time, we will be focusing on the Toryumon 2000 Project, or T2P.
T2P was started by Ultimo Dragon in 2001 to showcase the talents of his new class of trainees. What made T2P special was their innovative wrestling style, which was a combination of lucha libra and extremely complicated submission holds. The style is known as llave. To further add to the unique flavour of this promotion, the matches were held in a 6 sided ring, a ring later adopted by American promotion, TNA Wreslting.
A special treat for you today. SAMURAI TV recently aired a 2 hour Dragon Gate special focusing on past Kobe World shows, which aired on 19.07.09. Suffice to say it’s a great show and well worth your time.
