As you can see we’re currently back online. I’m not sure how long this will last and I might have to take the site down again sometime in the future, but for now things should be relatively back to how they were. I had to revert to a backup so there could be some things missing (most notably thumbnails for posts) but overall it shouldn’t be too bad. I probably could have gotten the site up sooner but I wanted to make absolutely sure there was no malware left in the system and it was particularly difficult to track down this time. As a few of you have reported, and I’m sure many have noticed, the site became infected late last week with some kind of malware. I’ve spent the weekend trying to get rid of it but my hosts are really terrible and I’m having all sorts of issues with the FTP. I’ll spare you the details, but rest assured I’m working on the problem.

For now I have changed the theme to the default wordpress one as I work to remove all malware from my current one. It’s a painful task and I don’t have a lot of time to work on it right now, but I didn’t want...

It’s time to get back to our roots. Let’s go all the way back to 1999, where it all began. Starting this Tuesday I am going to begin a new series called Toryumon Tuesdays in which I will post the weekly Vamanos Amigos starting with the very first one. For those that don’t know this was the precursor to Dragon Gate’s Infinity,  although unlike Infinity it was not weekly. I will do my best to try and keep up to date (so to speak) with these but you may have to excuse the occasional delayed week or three.

Open the Dragon Gate is a purely not-for-profit website run by Dragon Gate fans for Dragon Gate fans. From the beginning I have tried to run the site without advertisements and have consciously made an effort to not ask for donations.

While this continues to be the case, I have been asked many times by people wanting to donate money to the site. This is both highly surprising and also very reassuring that you, the fans, are enjoying the site.

Open the Dragon Gate will remain to be ad free. No matter what, there will always be new content as long as it is...

In the interest of keeping things in order I have added Infinities 222 (thanks Kevin!) and 225 but dated them in the past. If/when I do fill in other blanks I will be doing the same. Mostly it’s just an OCD thing but I’ll be sure to post an update on the main page whenever that happens. Oh, also I updated 224 since the quality of the previous one was pretty poor.

Sorry friends, I’ve been as notoriously absent as Dragon Gate Infinities have been these days, for which I apologise.

Not least of all to NickSym who very graciously wrote up a great post on his time at GATE OF MAXIMUM, of which I have yet to post! Eek sorry! I will be getting to this very shortly. Also, thanks to ryo saiba and Mark for posting some links to some missing Infinities. I’ll also get them up on the site for all you streaming fans.

Apart from that there isn’t a whole lot going on right now in DG. World is coming up with Hulk in the main event...
