Magnum TOKYO
Further Info
Originally one of the three ‘aces’ of tje company (along with CIMA and Mochizuki), Magnum TOKYO, or Magu for short, was one of Ultimo Dragon’s first students, and perhaps one of his most popular.
Debuting with a male stripper gimmick, Magu would have long and elaborate entrances where he would dance for the female members of the audience and have them stuff money into his trunks.
Initially he was the top babyface in the company, but when Mochizuki left M2K, Magu turned heel and took over. He then refined his dancer gimmick into elaborately choreographed dance sequences with actual trained backup dancers, and something that would become a bit of a Toryumon trademark, the other members of M2K would also partake. This would lead to probably some of the most elaborate entrances in all of wrestling and would come to define Toryumon for some years to come.
